Closing Announcement: Marvel Way Phase II

We are pleased to announce the closing of Marvel Way Phase II in Reno, Nevada!

Marvel Way Phase II will provide affordable sober housing for individuals and households in recovery earning 30% and 50% of the area median income (AMI). Phase II will provide a range of floor plans, offering 2 studios, 35 one-bedroom units, and 9 two-bedroom units. These 46 apartment homes will complement the 42 completed units from the project’s first phase.

This new community’s goal is to continue to build a better future for residents through safe, affordable, sober housing. Marvel Way Phase II creates the space for residents to cultivate their mental and physical health, sobriety, and wellbeing. Through careful design and thoughtful resident services programming provided by The Empowerment Center (TEC), the project will promote self-care within a safe environment. TEC is a non-profit organization with extensive experience in substance abuse treatment and transitional housing for clients working to maintain their sobriety, making them the perfect service providers for the project.

Additionally, residents of Marvel Way Phase II will have access to all amenities offered at Phase I, including a multi-purpose room, warming kitchen, exercise room, computer lab, library, laundry room, community garden, and potting shed. Phase II will also incorporate a BBQ and sitting area, a dog park, and open green space.

Marvel Way Phase II funding included State of Nevada ARPA funds, known as the Home Means Nevada Initiative (HMN) funds, HOME funds from the City of Reno, and funds from the National Housing Trust (NHT), administered by the State of Nevada. The site was designed by STK Architects and is being built by Mountain West Builders. Resident Services will be provided by The Empowerment Center and the property manager will be FPI Management.

We are very thankful for all our project partners who have made this closing possible!
