Closing Announcement: Mesa Vista Phase II

We are excited to announce that Mesa Vista Phase II has officially closed! With the addition of 47 new units, Mesa Vista now offers a total of 86 permanent affordable homes as part of California’s Homekey initiative, which aims to rapidly expand housing for individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The community serves a diverse population with tailored supportive services to meet their unique needs.

30 homes are reserved for formerly homeless Veterans, who will receive Project-Based VASH Vouchers and case management services from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. 10 homes are dedicated to individuals experiencing mental health challenges and at risk of homelessness, with supportive services provided by the County of Orange, and 46 homes are for very low-income seniors, who will benefit from services delivered by our co-developer and partner, Mercy House Living Centers. Each home is fully furnished and supported by a comprehensive package of on-site amenities and upgraded facilities, including a new exterior façade, refreshed landscaping, a redesigned leasing office, and communal spaces like a computer center, TV lounge, and game room.

Mesa Vista received Homekey funding administered by the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). The County of Orange provided Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) funds administered through the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), Southern California Home Financing Authority (SCHFA) funds, and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF). The City of Costa Mesa provided ARPA, HOME, and Low and Moderate Income Housing Asset Fund (LMIHAF) funding.

The project was designed by City Fabrick and is being built by ICON National. FPI Management will be the property manager.
